One of my all-time favorite composers. As a young man he showed an uncanny resemblance to Bob Bruner, my college roommate, who is now Dean of the Darden Graduate School of Business Administration at the University of Virginia. You can understand how Clara Schumann was smitten. I guess it really was the other way around. Still, he was then quite the catch.
