OLIVER HARDY ~ January 18, 1892 ~ August 7, 1957




Oliver Hardy (born Norvell Hardy; January 18, 1892 – August 7, 1957) was an American comic actor famous as one half of Laurel and Hardy, the classic double act that began in the era of silent films and lasted over 31 years, from 1926 to 1957. Hardy’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame is located at 1500 Vine Street, Hollywood, California.

One of the showman of the era gone by.
He had a good vibe with Laurel and jointly they managed to keep the world laughing for decades.
Just last week I happened to watch one of their last interviews in a hotel. Real touching episode.
Hats off to him (literally as that was his hall mark when ever he crossed a lady)
