In Loving Memory of DENNIS JAMES GRAHAM

My good friend Lyle Richardson has commissioned a number of stained glass pieces from his friend Jeff Berger over the years. Jeff is now a jeweler, but he trained as an architect at the University of Virginia and spent a summer in Vicenza, where he actually lived on the top floor of Palladio's Villa Rotunda.

Six Springs ago Lyle and Jeff gave me the stained glass shown here in loving memory of Dennis. It's above the piano in my front room across the street from St. James Church. On long summer days near sunset, the setting sun shines through the jewel-like pattern in the background. Then the wall and ceiling come alive in a dance of myriad stars.
